Home Care Path Biz Op Governors Biz Plan Contest

Home Care Path Biz Op is a model that improves a senior's access to supportive care while addressing future political policy changes.  Public long term care programming is folding acute medical care, primary medical care, and long term care in to one comprehensive system to manage delivery.  This system will favor medical needs.

Long term planners have been encouraging legislative representatives to raise the minimum wage.  A legislative policy mandating a higher minimum wage would invalidate most personal supportive home care contracts with today's Care Management Organizations.  This would disrupt service for approximately 55 thousand individuals across Wisconsin.

The State will return to dense pockets of adequate provision in larger communities of more than 100 thousand population.  This leaves a huge number of elders residing in smaller burgs without necessary service.

The Home Care Path Biz Op is a unique model that facilitates access to non-medical supportive care in hard to serve geographical area.  Non-medical supportive care involve tasks structured around activities of daily living  and instrumental activities of daily living.  These are the things our elders and individuals with chronic disabling disease processes need help with.

The Home Care Path Biz Op can best be described as a network that creates care giving efficiencies that benefit the elder, the care giver, an the community.  This is a triple win.

The Home Care Path Biz Op has been submitted to the Wisconsin Governor's Business Plan Contest.  The original model lends itself to nation wide growth.
